Multilingual Forensics
The web has changed the way we work, we communicate and we live our lives. This expansion however is an invitation for criminals from all over the world to target your business, your family or simply your connection.

Examining digital evidence is a complicated matter as it is. Things get even more challenging when the evidence is not in English. European languages are mostly based on the Latin alphabet, but when it comes to Greek or Cyrillic alphabets things get more complicated. Not only that, but Asian countries use characters that do not correspond to any European alphabet.

Strathclyde Forensics recognizes the need for multilingual skills when it comes to digital forensics. Not only documents and texts can be found in any language, but with the advent of Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) even website domain names, and entire URLs can be in any language that a particular domain can support.

We currently support forensic analysis in the following languages:
English (British/US)
French
Polish
Russian
Indian
Pakistani
Turkish
Greek
Chinese (Mandarin)
Chinese (Cantonese)
If you need to recover documents or investigate internet records or other pieces of evidence in a language not listed above, please contact us in order to see how we can help you.
