Legacy Mobiles Forensics
The term "legacy mobiles" refers to older mobile phones, usually before the 3G era. Surprisingly a large amount of people use legacy mobiles for a variety of reasons. Some people are not comfortable with new technologies, some are afraid of change, some are simply satisfied with calls and text messages.

Many fraudsters chose legacy mobiles because they are cheap to buy and dispose of.

Examining a legacy mobile phone is usually simpler than a smart-phone. However some of these mobiles did not make it in the market or are not supported by their manufacturers for some time. As a result many of them have been ignored by some of the major forensic software vendors. This is where our expertise and diversification come into the game.

At Strathclyde Forensics we are not vendor dependable, so we use a variety of tools that allows us flexibility giving us a competitive edge.

Contact us if you wish to have a legacy mobile phone investigated.
