Strathclyde Forensics is compliant with all the industry standards, and all acceptable codes of practice in the UK and the EU.
In the absence of statutory requirements, reputable businesses set their own standards, based on the acceptable practices in the country. For many years the corner stone of this practice is based on the principles set up by the Association of Chief Police Offices in England & Wales. The ACPO Guidelines for digital evidence is a set of principles that we adhere to on a voluntary basis.
However, Strathclyde Forensics adopts relevant guidelines from the EU and the USA. Recently we are working in the formulation of the guidelines and codes of ethics that will be set by the Digital Forensics Society (DFS), the UK's only professional body for digital forensics experts. (Mr Vassilios Manoussos, owner of Strathclyde Forensics is a founding member and Vice Chairman of the DFS).
Strathclyde Forensics is also complying with all relevant Data Protection and Data Privacy legislation in the UK and EU.
