Audio / Video Forensics
Photographic and video evidence is an area of digital forensics that requires specialist equipment (hardware & software) as well as experts in the field.

Enhancement of still images, video footage, CCTV footage, or footage from a mobile phone camera; whatever is the source, we are confident we can produce an enhanced copy that will be of help to your case.

Sound enhancing is as challenging. We partner with experts in the field so that our reports will be of the highest standards and can stand any cross examination in court.

We are partnering with the best, in order to provide our customers high quality image and video processing for their needs.
CCTV footage (like the one in the photo above, from the 7/7 London bombings) is now used extensively in order to tackle crime. The problem with CCTV is that the quality of the stored footage is often poor, because of storage capacity limitations.

Strathclyde Forensics tries to enhance the native footage, using software enhancement and tools like "edge detection" , to provide solid evidence. We are currently evaluating Belkasoft's Photo Manipulation (forgery) Detection software. The results of a test sample are shown in the pictures below (source: Belkasoft)
